Can I approve all submitted responses before they display on my site?

Every response that is submitted appears in your account under Responses with the status Needs Review. You can also get an email alerting you that a response has been submitted.

You can approve each individual response before it will appear on your website.

Can I collect text testimonials?

To collect written feedback:

Create or edit a Form
Add a Feedback field by drag-and-dropping it from the Form Field list on the right
Click on the field to edit it. Update the label, description, or other settings as desired.
Save your form

Can I customize the content that is in the widget popup?

Unfortunately, customizing the Lightbox video popup is currently not possible through our site. The same fields that you have chosen to display in the widget cards/list will also show in the popup.

You could use CSS to hide items if needed.

Can I edit the responses that are submitted?

You can edit the information (name, email, text, etc.) that is submitted with each response.

From the Responses tab, find the response you wish to edit and click Edit.

To edit submitted videos, you can either:

Use the Boast video editor to edit the video
Download the video (or photo), edit it in another program, and then replace it within Boast.

Can I embed the submission form on social media?

If the social media platform you are looking to use allows embedding of third-party widgets, then it will most likely support embedding a Boast form.

Otherwise, Boast offers form landing pages, which you can link to from social media.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are considered final. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancelling a subscription will allow access through the entire billing period, but will cancel any recurring monthly or yearly charges.

Can I import contacts from a different system?

In your Boast account, navigate to the Contacts tab. In the top right corner, click Import. Click New Import.

Upload an Excel/CSV file of contacts. We've provided an example file template, but your file does not need to match exactly. Click Upload and Map Fields.
Once you upload your file, you will be able to map the columns in your file to fields in Boast. Once you've mapped your fields, click Continue to Next Step.
Now you have the option to ad/remove tags, enroll/remove from sequences, and set the contact status. Once you're done, click Continue to Review Import.
Review your import. Click Import X Contacts Now.

Can I import responses?

In your Boast account, navigate to the Responses tab.
Click Import in the top right corner.
Click New Import.
Give your import a name, choose the form you would like to assign responses to, and upload your file. Click Upload and Map Fields.

Can submitters share their response on social media?

After submitting a response to you, your customers can easily share their thoughts on social media. You can automate this process using your form Thank You Page, or by utilizing a direct link.

Social sharing links can also be added to your widgets, allowing anyone to share a response to social media.

Collect & Display Responses on Facebook Page

You can display the responses you’ve gathered on Boast to your Facebook page to show how much your customers love you, or you can add your testimonial request for to your Facebook page to gather more support. To do this, you’ll need to make a few selections in Facebook, and insert a bit of code from Boast. Customize Form Landing Page Headers, Footers and More

When editing a form, go to Settings > Landing Page.

There are several customizations available.

Logo

Add a logo in the top left corner

Page Heading

Add content to be shown to the right of your logo

Form Heading

Content to be shown above your form fields

How can I assign a form to a staff member?

Add a staff member if you haven't already.
Create or edit a form
Add a "Staff" field.
Set the Field Visibility to Hidden.
Select the desired staff member in the field on the left and click Set Default Value.
Save the form.

Now when that form is submitted, the response will automatically be assigned to the selected staff member. That staff member will be able to see the responses assigned to them when they log in to Boast.

How do I get HD videos?

Video quality depends on your Boast subscription plan:

Basic - 720p HD
Team - 1080p HD
Premium - 4k

Please note that video quality depends on the capabilities of the device capturing the video.

How To Upgrade Your Video Quality:

Login to your Boast account.
Click on your profile in the top right corner.
Select “Subscription”.
Click “Change Plan”.
Choose your desired plan.
Enter your information to upgrade your account. Don’t worry if you upgrade mid-month: the difference in plan balance is accounted for in our system.
Update the video field on your form to collect a higher quality video.

First, find your Boast embed code:

Select Widgets or Forms from your Boast dashboard, depending on which you are looking to embed.
Click the Share link on an existing widget or form, or create a new one.
Copy the Website Embed (recommended) or iFrame Embed code.

If you are having trouble with your embed code, please try these alternates, replacing FORM_ID_HERE or WIDGET_ID_HERE with your specific ID.

Boast provides you with broad terms of service agreement you can use by default for your customers’ submission.

It’s important that you read Boast's terms and conditions and abide by them. Essentially, don’t collect information, sell it, and be a jerk with it. Boast is designed for professionals collecting feedback from customers and people they have existing relationships with – don’t use it for any nefarious purposes.

What are locations? How can I add one?

You can now configure business locations within Boast. Using locations, you can default forms to collect feedback for a specific location and then filter and show responses based on that location. As a manager you’ll be able to track customer sentiment across locations and manage customer happiness.
